Ultra wide and dynamic zoom 20-1200mm

A 20mm ultra wide-angle 60x optical zoom lens (35mm camera equivalent: 20-1200mm) makes it possible to capture dynamic landscape and wild animals distant away. The 20mm ultra wide-angle lens captures approx.140% wider angle of view compared with a 24mm angle of view. The Intelligent Zoom extends the zoom ratio up to 120x equiv. with minimum deterioration of image quality. The zoom ratio can further be extended when combined Intelligent Zoom with a Tele Conversion Lens DMW-LT55 (sold separately) which captures the cratered surface of the moon.

LUMIX FZ82 is capable of recording 4K video in 3840×2160 in MP4. Thanks to the 4K technology, you can capture unmissable moments with 8-megapixel equivalent resolution 4K PHOTO at 30-fps. The DFD (Depth From Defocus) technology instantly calculates the distance to the subject by evaluating two images with different sharpness levels, and achieves ultrahigh-speed AF and 6-fps burst shooting with AFC (* 10-fps with AFS).

Sometimes, harsh sunlight makes even the brightest camera screens difficult to see. The FZ82 integrates an LVF (Live View Finder) with 1,170k-dot equivalent high resolution. It assures stable framing and superb visibility even under strong sunlight.

The 3.0-inch rear monitor with a high resolution of approximately 1,040k-dot features higher visibility even for sunny outdoor shooting. And, touch control immediately lets you to set focus to the subject by just touching it on the screen and you can even release the shutter.

Focus control after shooting with Focus Stacking and Post Focus

The Post Focus function enables you to select in-focus area even after shooting. It is helpful in situations like macro shooting where severe focusing is required or for changing expressions by changing focused subject. The Focus Stacking function enables you to adjust the focus area after shooting by combining multiple images. You can get an image with exactly the kind of defocus you want or pan-focus the image by simply selecting the focus area. This is beneficial when shooting macro shots of insects, small accessories and so on.
